Day 1 Entry BeiJing March 7 (Sunday) meals: N/A
Arrive in Beijing and meet your English speaking guide; transfer to hotel to settle down and adjust to the time difference. Tailor will come to the hotel to take measurements for silk jackets or dresses.
Day 2 BeiJing March 8 (Monday) meals: B/L
Today’s excursion begins with the largest and grandest square in the world, Tiananmen Square, followed by a visit to the magnificent Forbidden City. You will be astonished by the unique and beautiful architecture. After lunch, join a "back alleys" rickshaw Hutong tour to experience Chinese life at its most traditional and obtain a fascinating behind-the-scenes glimpse into the lifestyles of the local people.
Day 3 Beijing March 9 (Tuesday) meals: B/L
Begin the day with a tour at the Great Wall. Constructed more than 2,000 years ago by China's first emperor, the ancient wall is 6350Km in length.
Day 4 Beijing/GuiLin March 10 (Wednesday) meals: B
Shopping at Silk Markets, then fly to GuiLin. Dinner on own. Free evening.
Day 5 GuiLin March 11 (Thursday) meals: B/L
In the morning, begin your tour with a climb to the top of Piled Silk Hill which overlooks the city of GuiLin. An afternoon visit to the Reed Flute Caves offers spectacular views created by the underground atmosphere and colorful lighting displays inside the caves. Dinner on own followed by a visit to see fishermen using cormorant birds to catch fish - a popular evening presentation by torchlight.
Day 6 GuiLin/ChengDu March 12 (Friday) meals: B/L
After breakfast, embark on a scenic cruise along the Li River with lunch onboard. The landscape of GuiLin is noted as the most gorgeous in China, with sparkling clear waters and magnificent green hills. Depart cruise at 3:00 pm, head to airport for flight to ChengDu.
Day 7 ChengDu March 13 (Saturday) meals: B/L
We take a 2 hour drive the next morning to see the largest Buddha in the world. Take boat launch to see Buddha from river, then climb hill paths to the top of Buddha’s head and enjoy the gardens and temple there. Return to ChengDu. Free evening.
Day 8 ChengDu March 14 (Sunday) meals: B/L
Visit to Sichuan BifengXia Panda Base, about 3 hours drive. Children/adults have the opportunity to hold and interact and have photos taken with baby or adult pandas (additional fee required). Return to ChengDu. Free evening.
Day 9 ChengDu/HeFei March 15 (Monday) meals: B
Visit JinLi ancient street and Shu Embroidery, one of the four largest embroidery centres in China. Opportunity to shop for orphanage gift before going to airport for flight to HeFei.
Day 10 HeFei March 16 (Tuesday) meals: B
Orphanage and Elementary school visit.
Day 11 HeFei March 17 (Wednesday) Meals:B
Orphanage visit.
Day 12 ShangHai March 18 (Thursday) Meals:B/ D
Morning Flight to ShangHai. Free afternoon. Group dinner.
Day13 ShangHai March 19 (Friday) Meals: B
We travel through the Bund Sightseeing Tunnel (a favourite with children!) and take a boat ride on the river. In the afternoon, visit the beautiful YuYuan gardens and Market (shopping). Acrobat Show in evening.
Day 14 ShangHai/Home March 20 (Satuday) Meals:B
Families head to airport for flight home.
